Landstar announced the winners of two annual safety awards at its 2025 Agent Convention in April. The awards were the Landstar Safety Officer (LSO) of the Year and the Mutual Understanding of Safety Together (M.U.S.T.) Customer of the Year.

Landstar named independent Landstar Agent Preston Degelia as its 2024 Rookie of the Year during Landstar’s annual Agent Convention held April 2-5, 2025.

Good deeds paid off for Walter Jackson, a Landstar business capacity owner (BCO) who was named a Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) 2025 Professional Driver of the Year.

The annual BCO Appreciation Days event is two days of networking opportunities, educational presentations, safety meetings, prizes and a vendor expo, where BCOs can talk to companies that offer different services as part of LCAPP – Landstar Contractors’ Advantage Purchasing Program.

Landstar inducted the newest class of Million Mile Safe Drivers and Roadstar® honorees at the 2024 All-Star Celebration.

James Carithers was named Landstar’s 2023 Safety Officer of the Year at the company’s annual event for independent Landstar agents.
