Applications for the Landstar Scholarship Fund for the 2021-2022 academic school year are now available. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2021.

Landstar business capacity owners (BCOs) have a reputation for their entrepreneurial spirit, dedication to safe driving and professionalism. When an owner-operator becomes a Landstar BCO, they are given the support, tools and resources needed to nourish their independent businesses and keep them on the road to success.

The Landstar Scholarship Fund was established to recognize outstanding undergraduate achievement and civic involvement. Since 1995, Landstar has recognized and awarded 366 scholarships totaling more than $902,000.

The Landstar business capacity owner (BCO) who received financial assistance from The BCO Benevolence Fund says despite some hardships, 2018 gave him many, many reasons to be thankful.

Applications for the Landstar Scholarship Fund for the 2020-2021 academic school year are now available. The deadline to apply is March 2, 2020.

“Humble” is the best word to describe the 2019 recipient of the Landstar BCO Lifetime Achievement Award Art Trezise - a three million mile safe driver and Roadstar® honoree.

“With the help of Landstar and the scholarship program, our daughter is living her dreams,” wrote independent Landstar Business Capacity Owner (BCO) Don Knuth and his wife Kathy in a thank you note addressed to Landstar.

Landstar President and CEO Jim Gattoni called Art Trezise’s safety record “flawless.” Since leasing to Landstar in 1979, Trezise has driven more than 3.5 million miles at Landstar without incident.

When she became an over-the-road team driver with her husband Del, LaBree says she never imagined her trucking career would take her down the path of advising or coaching other owner-operators.
