American Cranes & Transport – Top 50

Landstar Transportation Logistics Inc. ranked No.1 on the American Cranes & Transport (ACT) 2024 ACTtransport50 list. The magazine’s annual ranking of North America’s largest specialized transportation companies was published in December.

Landstar is a recognized leader in over-dimensional and heavy haul freight transportation services and one of the largest platform carriers in the U.S., with a fleet size of 11,936 and a total capacity of 92,265 U.S. tons.

According to American Cranes & Transport, the ACTtransport50 is ranked by fleet size and total maximum transport capacity of all relevant trailers and transport systems in a company’s fleet in U.S. tons. The ranking is based on information supplied through the ACTtransport50 survey form.

Landstar has been regularly featured in the ACTtransport50 during the 19 years the ranking has been active. The magazine is one of the leading publications for North America’s crane and specialized transport industry.

Forbes - America's Best Midsize Employers

Landstar System, Inc. was recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Midsize Employers for 2024. Landstar System is ranked 55 among the companies that made the list, and the highest ranking in the Transportation and Logistics category.

Forbes used market research firm Statista to survey 170,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 to 5,000 employees.

According to the publication, survey respondents evaluated their employer based on a wide range of work criteria, including work-life balance, benefits, diversity, compensation, pay equality, as well as training and advancement opportunities.

Global Trade - America’s Leading 3PL Awards

Landstar System, Inc. was named one of America’s Leading Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers by Global Trade magazine in October, 2024. The award honored innovative 3PLs that redefined efficiency in the supply chain industry, recognizing Landstar’s commitment to leading-edge technology and customer service excellence.

Landstar earned No.17 on the list, which highlighted 50 of the largest third-party logistics solutions providers in America. The publication cited Landstar’s “unique agent model and extensive capacity network,” which provides “customized logistics solutions with a personalized touch and excels in safety and service,” as to why Landstar was selected for the award.

According to the publication, nominations for the award were submitted by readers and evaluated by Global Trade for “companies that have demonstrated innovation, customer service excellence, scalability, and significant contributions to the industry.”

Women in Trucking – Elite 30

Redefining the Road, the official magazine of Women In Trucking (WIT), honored Landstar System, Inc. among the “Elite 30” for the “Top Companies for Women to Work in Transportation” award in November, 2024.

Of the 134 companies recognized for their commitment to excellence and inclusivity in the transportation industry, Landstar ranked among the top 30 organizations which gained the highest number of votes.

To qualify for the award, companies met several key criteria which included a culture of diversity, competitive compensation, flexibility, and advancement opportunities.
