At its 2024 Agent Convention, Landstar announced DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations of Pineville, Louisiana, as its 2023 Overall Landstar M.U.S.T. Customer of the Year.

A collaboration between Landstar and its customers, Landstar’s Mutual Understanding of Safety Together, or M.U.S.T., program involves an extensive on-site review of a customer’s facility, followed by discussion and analysis of loading, unloading and securement, in addition to other safety practices.
Landstar Vice President of Safety and Compliance Shelly Seaton announced DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations as the overall winner during a ceremony held April 5, 2024. Also recognized were independent Landstar Agents Joel and Roxanne Lemoine of ASE Transportation and Specialized Services, LLC, the agency that works with DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations.

Upon a visit to DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations in 2023, Landstar representatives witnessed the safe and smooth load out of 25 different trailers, bound for three separate job sites. Afterward, DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations invited Landstar back for a safety tour — which included the company’s participation in Landstar’s Safety Thursday Conference Call — as well as a vendor fair event.

“Landstar moved a total 663 shipments for DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations last year with no claims,” said Seaton at the award presentation. “This relationship demonstrates a clear and consistent commitment to safety by the customer, which has earned the company Landstar’s Overall M.U.S.T. Customer of the Year award.”
