Landstar Names Ehrhardt Employee of the Month

March 13, 2001 Jacksonville, Florida (NASDAQ:LSTR) - Landstar System, Inc., a safety first transportation and information services company, has named Tammy Ehrhardt, Automotive Logistics Coordinator, Jacksonville Service Center Employee of the Month for March 2001.

Ehrhardt works closely with the company's Shipment Tracking Analysis and Reporting System, a computerized program that links Landstar's vital shipment information with its customer, Daimler Chrysler. Ehrhardt is known among her fellow workers as a reliable, self-motivated team player who constantly looks for ways to streamline data reporting processes.

Ehrhardt joined Landstar in January 1999 and worked with regional freight coordinators and integrated transportation systems before moving into automotive logistics. The native of Olney, Illinois, left home and moved to Florida to attend college in Miami before she and her husband settled in Jacksonville in 1998.
