On September 6, NBC Nightly News featured Landstar Business Capacity Owners (BCOs) in a segment titled, “Luxury Big Rigs: The First-Class of Truck Drivers.” Within the segment, NBC Nightly News featured big trucks that are “tricked out” for comfort on the road.
Landstar owner-operators and expedited team, Bob and Linda Caffee, were among those interviewed for the segment. The Caffee’s 2015 Freightliner straight truck was featured as a big truck designed to have all the comforts of home while out on the road.
An NBC Nightly News crew joined the Caffees on the road in Dallas, Texas, to see their truck and the luxuries it is equipped with.
“He interviewed us inside and out of the truck. He even used a GoPro camera attached to the front of the truck to get some footage,” said Linda Caffee.
Another truck, belonging to Landstar BCOs and A&E team Jonathan and Miriam Brown, was also featured in the NBC Nightly News segment.
